Our afternoon activities begin at 4:30 in Bible study with Pastor Jon.  At 5:30, members of our Federated Women's Ministries group will have delicious vittles waiting for us in Trimmer Hall to nourish our fellowship around the dinner table.  See you there!

Saturday, February 11:  Missions Dinner with Glen Chapman

Congo missionary Glen Chapman will be our guest at a special missions dinner at Federated on Saturday, February 11.  Dinner will be prepared by our Board of Missions, ably assisted by students from The Found and by those who support our Farmer's Market food distribution project.  The menu will include African appetizers, lasagna, garlic bread, green and fruit salads, and desserts.  Visit www.internationalministries.org/teams/chapman for information about the Chapmans' ministry.

Sunday, February 12, 10:30 am:  Sometimes We Face a Crisis of Belief

For our message today, "Sometimes We Face a Crisis of Belief," Rev. Carlstrom refers to Numbers 14:1-8 & 11.  Pastor Jon writes: "Today we are challenged to think about what we do when we face a crisis of belief.  When God calls us to his purpose and plan and we are challenged to take the next step on the faith journey, we may face a crisis of belief.  What we do next reveals our faith and what we believe."

Allison Edberg brings our special music this morning, and also will have a special story for the children.  Come and be blessed!

On the agenda for our 200th congregational meeting is the 2012 budget and discussion of how to proceed with the vacant position of Director of Music.  Bring a dish* to share!

Friday, February 24, 6:30 pm:  "Courageous" Movie

Four men, one calling:  To serve and protect.  As law enforcement officers, they are confident and focused, standing up to the worst the streets have to offer.  Yet at the end of the day, they face a challenge that none of them is truly prepared to tackle: fatherhood.  Protecting the streets is second nature.  Raising their children in a God-honoring way?  That's courageous.

Cost:  Zero, Nothing, Nada!  Join us for pizza at 6:30, then the show begins at 7:00.

A special matinee showing of the movie Courageous, complete with popcorn and free childcare.  No admission charge and open to the public!

Meditation Group News

Our meditation group is on winter recess until March 26.  During the recess, Bill DeWitt is sending weekly meditation teachings via email to help guide our personal meditation times at home. Event Calendar a few days prior to each week's meeting.  We follow the meditation teachings and guidelines of the World Community for Christian Meditation.
